I’M A PRODUCER
I have a passion for film and image making that took me from corralling the neighbor kids into “plays” recorded on a camcorder, to a BFA in Film Production and student film award at the University of Colorado. My friends called me “filmgirl”.
I worked as “P.A. to the stars” in the late 90’s and early 2000’s and learned to shoot and print photos with a Pentax K-1000 on the side. I feel truly lucky for my experimental film education and my proximity to indie greats. (But also that time I PA’ed for George Clooney)!
My curiosity landed me in Detroit, where I worked on local music videos, continued my photography hobby, and was introduced to the ad world via post production. Mmm, cars.
I relocated to Denver in 2008 and found a career-building position at Citizen Pictures. I grew producing skills with the resources of a long format episodic show behind me - making regional spots, branded content, and pitch reels in the field, and all varieties of short form edits in the suite. I created all the company’s commercial bids, budgets, and job proposals, in addition to new reels and website makeovers.
Of course, I was itching to get out on my own. I began my freelance producing career in Austin in 2016. I’m proud of the work I have created in this community and the relationships I’ve built as I evolved my career, line produced larger and larger commercials, and added stills producing to my resume.
Now, I can support a production as a producer or production manager, or with my production company, Film Girl LLC. My guiding principles are equitable compensation and transparency between production, agency, and clients.
In 2025, I filmed my self-directed short “Hot No Start”, which features my 1993 Volvo 240 Classic and is in post-production as of Spring 2026.
In my spare time I pursue my enduring goal of feature screenwriting, go to movies, sing karaoke with a bunch of other ad folks, and enjoy being outdoors, swimming, and DOGS.
*I can also work as a local in Denver, CO.
